Spring Season

This piece was an absolute blast to create. The entire process was an experiment, especially when it came to depicting the planets. I played around with partially mixing colors while they were still wet, layering them on thick for added texture. I discovered that adding flour thickens acrylic paint, so I used that technique to make the flowers stand out more and give them a bit of texture. I'm still surprised I achieved the strikingly deep, void-like appearance of the background.
