For this piece, I really leaned into using the brush to create texture. When you see it up close, you can really feel the brushstrokes and see how the colors blend together. Although I've moved away from this style lately, back then, I was all about making my work really tactile. I wanted people to feel like they could reach out and touch it. Playing with the texture of the paint and experimenting with brushstrokes was a big part of my process. It was all focused and centered around bringing that extra dimension to my art.
